| Abstract: |
| Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), composed of metal ions and organic ligands, are multifunctional crystalline materials with one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional structures. The crystalline structure of MOFs renders their existence mainly as powder, limiting their recycling, processing, and molding. Therefore, natural or modified flexible cellulose substrate is chosen as the ideal base material for MOFs deposition, in which, MOFs can endow cellulose substrate with many novel functions to realize its high-value utilization; cellulose substrate can provide MOFs more room for application to realize its multi-level development and utilization. The research progress on MOFs/cellulose composites was reviewed in this paper, including selection of base materials, preparation methods, properties, and applications, etc. |
