Abstract:
      Pre-extracting hemicellulose sugars from eucalyptus chips by pre-hydrolysis with hot water was carried out, and then the kraft pulping was proceeded. The relationship between P-factor and the results of pre-hydrolysis and followed pulping was studied. The content change of pentose and furfural in the extract with the different P-factors was investigated. The effects of P-factor on the cooking results such as the yield, kappa number, viscosity and physical strength of the pulp were researched. The change of monosaccharide contents in the extract and black liquor with the P-factor was also analyzed.
