| Abstract: |
| The effect of acid-activated bentonite on the properties of color ink-jet printing paper was studied. The results showed that the glossy and smoothness of color ink-jet printing paper containing acid-activated bentonite, which substituted for parts of SiO2 as pigment, are improved, but the whiteness, opacity, ink absorption and surface strength of the paper are reduced. The ink density of ink-jet printing paper containing acid-activated bentonite is similar to the sample containing pure SiO2. The color ink-jet printing paper containing acid-bentonite shows less bleeding and wicking. |
