Abstract: |
Effect of recycling papermaking water on AKD sizing was investigated by the method of laboratory simulation. The results showed that each cycle of laboratory papermaking water resulted in increases in conductivity, turbidity, COD and anionic degree to different extents. The amount of COD and conductivity of water recycled for 6 times in laboratory were one-thirtieth of the water recycled for 8 months in a mill. AKD sizing efficiency decreased rapidly with increases of COD and conductivity in the water, and the negative effect of COD was more significant than that of the conductivity. AKD sizing efficiency was improved significantly by adding polyamine complex with high charge density. The role of the polyamine complex is to improve retention of the fines and other particles, and reduce anionic degree in the water. |
