| Abstract: |
| The advantages and disadvantages of steel dryers used in paper machine were compared with the cast iron dryers. Problems in materials, design, manufacture and running of the steel dryers were analysized. For manufacture technology of steel dryer, the pace of update of specifications for steel dryer should be speeded up in order to meet the requirement of high speed and variety of paper grades production. Meanwhile the cost of steel dryer manufacture and the maintenance cost for the steel dryer surface should be reduced. |
