Abstract:
      On the basis of the study of the characteristic of the fiber raw materials used in China and the mechanism of refining, this article discussed the feasibility of refining using a new disc refiner based on dynamic pressure theory. The author attempted to make a pressure zone between the two discs because there would be a convergence clearance by changing the disc surface from traditional plane into slope.Then based on the theory of dynamic pressure,the force making on the fibers was analysed. Based on the calculation of the force acting on any pulp units, and using Neaton’s Viscosity & Firction Law, the relationship between filter speed and their location was analysed, and the shear forces on the fibers were found. The pressure value between the discs could obtained through the measurement of the pulp flow and speed in refining. In fact, the power of friction between the fibers surfaces is an useful work for refining.
