Abstract:
      Lignin from pulping waste liquor has attracted more and more attention recently because of its abundance and low cost. It can be modified and used as sand-fixing agent to improve some properties of sand or soil, such as the compressive strength, the ability of resistant to wind erosion, aggregate content. In this paper, the characteristic chemical structures of lignin, structure and sand-fixing efficiency of several modified lignin sand-fixing agent were reviewed. Finally, some modified methods were suggested and these suggestions would be useful for developing effective lignin sand-fixing agent and fully utilizing the lignin from pulping waste liquor.
