Abstract: |
Cationic cellulose was synthesized by using bagasse bleached kraft pulp and 3-chloro-2-hydroxy propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (CHPTMA) as raw material and using microwave heating. The optimal synthesis conditions were determined: quality ratio of etherifying agent and cellulose 0.45, quality ratio of NaOH and etherifying agent 4.45, microwave heating time 9 minutes, microwave power 400 W, water content of the system 60%. The substitution degree of the resultant bagasse cationic cellulose is 0.193, and Zeta potential is 25.6 mV. The infrared spectra proves that this method can synthesise the cellulose containing cationic functional group. |
