| The application of imidazole-TDI-PEG (called LTP600) in paper coating was investigated. The coating weights of the filter papers were 1.2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 g/m2. The physical properties of the coated paper were tested. It was found that the treatment could enhance the paper’s physical strength. When the coating weight was 7 g/m2, the physical properties of the filter paper were enhanced significantly, especially the wet strength and folding resistance. The wet strength index and dry strength index of the treated paper were respectively 19.6 times and 1.7 times of the original base paper. Folding resistance was 894, 47.0 times of the original base paper. |
