Abstract:
      The effects of pH, temperature, absorption time and the initial concentration of Cu2+ on the absorption of Cu2+ by the amino chelated bagasse cellulose which was prepared in advance in simulated heavy metals wastewater were investigated. Experimental results showed that the adsorbance of Cu2+ by amino chelated bagasse cellulose increased with the increase of the value of pH or the initial concentration of Cu2+. After 25 min of absorption, adsorption of Cu2+ almost was saturated. Study of absorption kinetics of Cu2+ indicated that amino chelated cellulose absorption of Cu2+ was in line with the Pseudo-second-order Kinetic model. The equilibrium data was tested with Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm equations. Langmuir isotherm was proved to be more suitable for the description of adsorption of Cu2+ by amino chelated bagasse cellulose.
