Abstract:
      Controlling the vibration with effective methods is the ideal target for studying papermaking machinery vibration. It is very important to reduce the vibration of press section which is one of key components of a paper machine. Currently high speed paper machine operation at home and abroad generally only realize vibration monitoring, fault diagnosis and predict maintenance scheme, based on the knowledge of structure characteristics for press section, and the analysis of the reasons of vibration, some suitable methods of reducing vibration of press section were put forward, such as the methods of passive vibration reduction including reducing the amplitude of forces, isolating vibration, damping vibration, tuning and the methods of active vibration reduction, and they are discussed based on vibration theory. The research results indicated that the methods of passive vibration reduction are easy to implement; the methods of active vibration reduction are more efficient,thus, it is more applicable than the methods of passive vibration reduction.
