Abstract: |
The dissolved and colloidal substance (DCS) in papermaking whitewater will affect the retention of the particles and fibers, and extend dewatering time on the wire section, then will gradually affect efficiency of the chemical additives added to the papermaking system and paper machine running performance, finally affect the quality of the finished paper. The article reviewed the main substances existing in whitewater and their origin, the main composition of DCS, and then introduced the methods for analyzing the DCS nature and impact. The analysis of whitewater DCS can provide a reliable basis to resolve the impacts of the DCS. |
