| Abstract: |
| This essay mainly discussed the preparation of PAE resin modified by using CMC-PVA and its application as paper strengthening agent，the performance of modified PAE resin was compared with cationic starch and CPAM， and the modified PAE resin was characterized with infrared and thermo gravimetric. The results showed that compared with the traditional PAE resin， CMC-PVA modified PAE resin had higher enhancing performance. Under the same dosage， the paper adding modified PAE resin had higher dry strength properties than CPAM. Comparing at the same operation cost， the modified PAE resin created better dry strength properties than cationic starch. Using CMA-PVA modified PAE resin could replace CPAM， cationic starch as dry strengthening agent for paper. |
