Abstract: |
Corn stalks were pretreated with hot water and NaOH respectively, and subsequently fractionated to five fractions, which were designated as R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 respectively, with descending order in terms of fiber length by Bauer fiber classifier.Effect of pretreatment on the amounts and chemical compositions of different sieving fractions, and their enzymatic digestibility were investigated. The results showed that compared with the pretreatment with hot water, the amount of fine fractions were larger, and cellulose conversion rate was higher during enzymatic hydrolysis when corn stalks were pretreated with NaOH. It was found that chemical components and enzymatic digestibility of different sieving fractions were different, the fine fractions were easier to be hydrolyzed by cellulase enzyme. |
