Abstract:
      A novel lignin derivative (ADRA-DETA-F-PKL),in which phenol,dehydroabietyl groups and diethylenetriamine groups were introduced into the kraft lignin sequentially in order to prepare a cationic emulsifier with improved performance.The experiments showed that under alkaline conditions the content of phenolic hydroxyl groups in phenolated lignin increased by 30.3% when the mole ratio of phenol to lignin was 1∶1, the reaction temperature was 100℃ and reaction time was 1.5 hour,0.30 mole phenol molecules were correspondingly introduced into lignin per C9 unit.The weight-average molecular weight of phenolated lignin increased by 7%, molecular weight distribution index decreased from 1.49 to 1.29.Compared with lignin, the number of dehydroabietyl groups in phenolated lignin increased by 1.1 times and diethylenetriamine groups 0.42 times.The surface tension value of the product ADRA-DETA-F-KL was 35.0 mN/m at the concentration of 10 g/L in dilute hydrochloric acid solution with pH value of 2, its Zeta potential was as high as 38.0 mV,and its emulsifiability was 70 min.
