Abstract:
The bacterial cellulose microfiltration membrane with a paper supporting layer was prepared. The supporting paper was made of plant fibers (mechanical pulp), with basis weight of 90 g/m2. Under the pressure of 0.1 MPa, uniformly dispersed bacterial cellulose was poured onto the paper until the water was filtrated completely. Then, a dense membrane layer was formed on the porous paper. The results showed that the diameters of the pore of the microfiltration membrane were 0.01~1μm, the mechanical strength, high-temperature resistance and alkali resistance of the membrane were quite well, and the production process was simple and environmentally friendly.
