Abstract: |
Ultrasound process was used to desorb silicon from aluminium salt modified bentonite after it was applied in desilication(Si-AlMB), in order to achieve recycled application of the modified bentonite in the production. Based on the study of the desorption process, the optimum desorption process was: NaOH solution dosage 30 mL/g, temperature 60℃, ultrasound power 150 W and ultrasonic treatment 3 min. After treatment, the silicon desorption rate was 84.5%. The ultrasonic process could effectively remove the silicon from Si-AlMB. The desorbed material was characterized by SEM, FT-IR and EDX, and the main composition of desorption material was aluminosilicate. In the desorption process, the ultrasound destroyed the chemical bond of aluminum atoms and bentonite and the chemical bond between the aluminum atom and silicon atom. The silicon and aluminum were simultaneously desorbed. |
