Abstract: |
To obtain the moderate hydrophobicity of uncoated inkjet paper with improved printing quality, different ratios of styrene maleic anhydride (SMA) and poly diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (PDADMAC) were used as the sizing agent for surface sizing of uncoated paper to study the optimum sizing conditions. The comprehensive performances of uncoated paper including surface properties, printing qualities and wetting properties were evaluated. The results showed that when the mass ratio of SMA to PDADMAC was 100 to 5, the uncoated inkjet paper had a satisfied printing quality, and the color gamut and color density increased by 12.5% and 8.6% respectively compared with the paper without surface sizing. |
