Abstract:
In the process of bioethanol production, adsorption of cellulase on lignin results in the high cost. In this paper, adsorption of cellulose on lignins from three different sources was studied and compared with the adsorption of cellulose on microcrystalline cellulose. FT-IR analysis showed that milled wood lignins from poplar, gingko and corn stover belonged to GS, G and GSH type, respectively. The results of adsorption of cellulase on lignin showed that the adsorption capacity was expressed as follows: gingko lignin > corn stover lignin > poplar lignin > microcrystalline cellulose. Enzyme activity measurement demonstrated a prominent absorption of endoglucanase and β-glucosidase on lignins.
