Abstract:
This paper discussed the research background and status of absorbable organic halogens (AOX) reduction technology at home and abroad. Meanwhile, the following AOX reduction technologies were summarized. Firstly, the amount of chlorine bleaching agent could be reduced by adjusting bleaching process, in order to reduce the AOX formation. Secondly, adding chemical additives such as H2O2 or sulfur-based, nitrogen-based, etc. additives to inhibit the AOX formation. Thirdly, pretreatment before bleaching including using hot water pre-extraction, acid or alkali pretreatment and biological enzyme pretreatment to reduce the content of lignin and hemicellulose in pulp, so as to reduce the AOX formation.
