Abstract: |
The corn nanostarch prepared by twin screw extrusion was used as coating adhesive in light weight coated paper in this study. The results showed that the crystalline area of corn nanostarch granules was destroyed by twin screw extrusion, and its crystallinity was decreased and its average particle size was about 100 nm. When the coating formula of styrene butadiene latex and coating starch ratio of 8∶4,was replaced by the formula of styrene butadiene∶cornnanostarch=4∶6, the water retention valueof the coatings decreased by 62.6%, the printing surface strength of the LWC increased by 12.9%, and other performance requirements were satisfied. |
