Abstract:
      Cigarette paper is one of the auxiliary materials of cigarette， although it is a small portion of the whole cigarette， but because it affects the air flow when cigarette is burning and directly participates in combustion， so that it finally affects cigarette combustion performance and chemical composition of the smoke. Cigarette paper technology is closely related to cigarette quality， and is an important means to control smoke components， improve suction quality and cigarette properties. This paper reviewed the technical research achievements of cigarette paper made by researchers， covering the aspects of reduction of harm and tar， enhancement of aroma， novel tobacco products and functional cigarette paper， finally the research direction of cigarette paper was discussed．
