Abstract:
In this study, cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) was covalently bonded with N-(4-aminophenyl)-4-(N,N-dimethylenediamine)-1,8-naphthalimide (EADANI) to prepare fluorescent probe (FCNC), which was further applied for the fluorescence detection of Fe3+. The study results found that because of the presence of surface carboxyl and hydroxyl groups, FCNC possessed good water dispersibility and intense yellow fluorescence emission in aqueous solution. FCNC showed selective detection performance for Fe3+ with the fluorescence enhancement factor high up to 9.5. In addition, FCNC had good anti-interference ability in the presence of competitive metal ions.
