Abstract:
      Superhydrophobic antibacterial paper with self-cleaning function was prepared by using bamboo pulp as raw material, adding potassium sorbate into the pulp and coating beewax-nano-TiO2 composite on its surface. SEM, AFM, XPS, FT-IR, tensil/folding tester, and water contact angle tester were used to characterize the surface morphology, elemental composition, chemical structure, mechanical properties, and hydrophobic property of the paper. The results showed that tensile index of the prepared paper was 89.7 N·m/g. The water contact angle (WCA) of the prepared paper reached 152.6° after heating and remained above 140° after being soaked in acid/alkali solution, exhibiting excellent self-cleaning property. The antibacterial test results showed that the anti-adhesion of the prepared paper to both Escherichia coliE. coli) and Staphylococcus aureusS. aureus) reached approximately 100%, showing great application potential in the area of food packaging paper.
