Abstract: |
The viscosity of coating liquid from coating process of papermaking reconstituted tobacco was tested and the chemical composition of centrifuged solid substances in the coating liquid was analyzed. The viscosity increasing phenomenon of reflux coating liquid was studied to reveal the cause of enrichment in suspended substance, and the solution to viscosity reduction of reflux coating liquid was proposed. The results showed that reflux coating liquid with higher solid content than that of its fresh counterpart mainly composed of carbon-containing substance, with average particle size of 1~2 µm, Ca content of 37%. Fine components in the substrate with weak bonding strength which renders their peeling off into reflux coating liquid and excessive Ca content in the liquid are the main causes of its increased viscosity. While when 0.1% polyethylene glycol 400 was added to the reflux coating liquid, the viscosity decreased from 416.4 to 243.5 mPa·s, and the average particle size from 0.339 to 0.116 µm. |
