| β-Cyclodextrin modified polystyrene resin （PS-β-CD） was used to adsorb glyceryl tristearate which was considered as the model of resin extractives in the paper machine white water. The adsorption condition was optimized； the isotherms， thermodynamics， and kinetics of the adsorption of glyceryl tristearate on PS-β-CD were investigated. The results showed that the optimized adsorption condition was PS-β-CD dosage of 2 g/L， temperature 35 ℃ （308 K）， time 5 h， and shaker speed 240 r/min. Both the Langmuir and Freundlich isothermal adsorption models are suitable for describing the adsorption process of glyceryl tristearate on PS-β-CD， which is a physical adsorption of endothermic process. In addition， the main adsorption mechanism is the intra-particle diffusion model. |
