Abstract:
Compared to conventional tobacco preparation technology, papermaking process for producing reconstituted tobacco sheet has problems of large water consumption and low water recycling efficiency. To reduce water consumption and improve utilization efficiency of water resource, the effluent from the secondary sedimentation basins (i.e., drainage water) of papermaking reconstituted tobacco process was used to wash filter cloth. The effect of drainage water reuse on the effluent quality and biodiversity of activated sludge in biological reactor, and its technical feasibility were explored. The results showed that it was feasible to wash the filter cloth with drainage water so as to conserve water. Further, drainage water reuse has negligible influence on the effluent quality when the reuse amount is less than 10% of the total effluent amount from biological reactor. The high-throughput sequencing results showed that the microbial species richness of activated sludge in biological reactor was high before and after drainage water reuse, indicating a slight effect on microbial community in activated sludge by reusing drainage water.
