Abstract: |
Papermaking sludge-chitosan (SL-CSA) nanocomposite adsorption material was prepared by using papermaking sludge and chitosan. The adsorption properties of SL-CSA nanocomposite material on chromium ion (Cd2+) and lead ion (Pb2+) in wastewater were studied. FT-IR and SEM characterizations proved that the nanocomposite was prepared successfully. The adsorption experiments showed that the adsorptions on Cd2+ and Pb2+ by SL-CSA nanocomposite material conformed to the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation, which was a chemical-adsorption process. According to Langmuir model, the maximum adsorption capacities of Cd2+ and Pb2+ by SL-CSA nanocomposite were 314.05 and 320.06 mg/g, respectively. |
