Abstract: |
As one of China's ancient four great inventions, papermaking technology has played a leading role in progressing the world's civilization. Paper cultural relics are the inheritance carrier of human civilization, promoting the inheritance and dissemination of knowledge. The conservation and restoration of paper cultural relics is the key to the inheritance and research of history and culture. Using modern technology to comprehensively analyze ancient paper cultural relics and contemporary restoration paper is of great guidance significance for studying the manufacturing process, status of quo of preservation, authenticity identification, and formulating protection and restoration plans of paper cultural relics. In this paper, the progress of spectroscopy methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (IR), Raman spectroscopy, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in the scientific analysis of paper cultural relics are reviewed, future development is prospected, hoping to provide more references to the scientific understanding and conservation and restoration of paper cultural relics. |
