Abstract: |
In this study, iron-doped biochar (PBC) was prepared by one-step pyrolysis with paper mill sludge (PMS) containing iron salt, and the adsorption properties for methyl orange were studied. The results showed that the biochar material obtained at 800 ℃ had the best methyl orange removal performance at pH value of 3 and adsorption time of 24 h. The adsorption of methyl orange by PBC-800 conformed to the quasi-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption model. The adsorption process of PBC-800 on methyl orange was chemical adsorption, and the maximum adsorption capacity was 352.05 mg/g. |
