Abstract:
5-ethoxymethylfurfural (EMF) is a potential liquid fuel that can replace fossil fuels. In recent years, researchers at home and abroad have paid widespread attention to the synthesis of EMF. This article reviews the research status about homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic systems for synthesizing EMF and raw materials, and compares the effects of single-phase and two-phase solvents, in order to provide scientific basis for biomass conversion of EMF. Finally, prospects for the synthesis strategy and industrial production of EMF are proposed.
