Abstract:
The green strategy (GS) implementation of Chinese paper industry has gone through a tough but productive course of 60 years including its germination stage. It is necessary to review and summarize the green development process of Chinese paper industry in order to discover the GS evolution law and predict the future strategic trend under the background of the construction of ecological civilization and the realization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in China. Some important events and measures in the GS implementation of Chinese paper industry were sorted out systematically according to the theory of green economy and green strategy, and the general law of GS evolution of renewable-resource-based enterprises. It was found that the GS of Chinese paper industry has experienced two stages: open-loop GS and closed-loop GS. The open-loop GS stage included raw material oriented GS (forest-paper integration GS) and terminal pollution treatment GS. The closed-loop GS stage included circular GS and “circular+” GS. In view of the above, it can be expected that the future development trend of Chinese paper industry GS is forest-paper hypercycle GS on the basis of hypercycle economy theory.
