Abstract:
Hemicellulose is rich in content with broad application prospects. However, the structure of hemicellulose is complex and diverse, and its high-value utilization is a long-standing challenge. When a single physical, chemical or biological pretreatment was used to extract hemicellulose, there were some limitations in terms of energy consumption, cost and effect. Combined pretreatment could combine the advantages of various pretreatment methods and reduce the limitations of single pretreatment. Thus, combined strategy method had become the current research hotspot for hemicellulose extraction. This paper reviewed the combined pretreatment extraction process of hemicellulose in the wood fiber, such as ultrasound-assisted, microwave-assisted, acid-water heat treatment and alkaline-water heat treatment, etc., and briefly described the advantages and disadvantages of the various pretreatment methods, with a view to providing theoretical guidance for the extraction and application of hemicellulose.
