Abstract: |
Pathogenic bacteria that cause harm to human health exist widely in daily life, and the chemical fungicides commonly used in sterilization will cause the resistance of bacteria and pollute the environment. Inorganic antibacterial agents prepared with metal/metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) such as gold (Au), silver (Ag), copper (Cu) and zinc oxide (ZnO) have excellent physical antibacterial effects, and are not easy to cause bacterial resistance and environmental pollution problems, which have been widely concerned. However, metal/metal oxide NPs has some problems such as easy aggregation and fast release which limited its antibacterial effect. In this paper, the research progress of cellulose-based composite antimicrobial materials loaded with metal/metal oxide NPs were reviewed. The technical schemes for preparing NPs of Au, Ag, Cu and ZnO by physicochemical and biological methods, and the antibacterial mechanism of NPs were introduced. The preparation method of composite antibacterial material by loading metal/metal oxide NPs with cellulose and its derivatives not only solved the problem of fast release of NPs, but also contributed to improve the antimicrobial stability of NPs and reduced environmental pollution. Therefore, the cellulose-based composite antimicrobial materials loaded with metal/metal oxide NPs had broad application prospect in biomedicine, food packaging and other fields. |
