Abstract:
Lignin-based conductive hydrogels are prepared via cross-linking by lignin and its derivatives. As a by-product of pulp and paper industry, lignin come from a wide range of sources and their own functional groups are able to give hydrogels adjustable functional properties. Through different preparation methods, the added value of lignin can be further increased and the application range can be expanded. In this paper, based on the types, structural units and functional groups of lignin, the preparation methods of lignin-based conductive hydrogels were summarized according to different classification methods, and the research prospect of lignin-based hydrogel electrolytes used in supercapacitors with the good electrochemical performance at low temperatures was proposed.
