Abstract: |
Lignin has certain hydrophobicity, and is low cost, renewable and environmentally friendly. Introduction of hydrophilic groups to lignin structure can improve its solubility and surface activity, form lignin amphiphilic polymers, and further prepare lignin-based surfactants and stabilizers of Pickering emulsion. The paper reviewed the research progress of lignin-based amphiphilic polymers, and focused on the types, and influencing factors of lignin-based surfactants. The method, mechanism and application fields of amphiphilic polymers preparing from lignin protected by acetalization was discussed. In addition, the research status of Pickering emulsion stabilized by lignin-based emulsifier was summarized. Finally, the opportunities and challenges of converting lignin into value-added products were briefly described. |
