Abstract:
      In this paper, the types and current status of thermal insulation composites based on plant fibers (wood fibers, grass fibers, cotton and linen fibers, etc.) were reviewed, and the common preparation methods (such as sol-gel, freeze-drying, and foam molding) as well as the thermal insulation mechanism were introduced. Meanwhile, the application of plant fiber-based thermal insulation composites in the fields of construction, food packaging, etc. were summarized and projected, with the aim of providing a certain reference for the development of the high-value utilization of plant fibers and their practical application in thermal insulation.
