| Abstract: |
| Using Moso bamboo as the raw material, the bamboo was pretreated with a formaldehyde-assisted choline chloride/lactic acid (ChCl/LA) deep eutectic solvent, and microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was prepared through bleaching and acid hydrolysis processes. The results showed that under conditions of ChCl to LA molar ratio of 1∶5, pretreatment temperature of 120 ℃, and pretreatment time of 3 h, the formaldehyde-assisted ChCl/LA pretreatment prepared a solid product with a yield of 58.9%, cellulose content of 59.6%, hemicellulose removal rate of 62.0%, and lignin removal rate of 69.9%. the pulp obtained after further bleaching had a cellulose content as high as 92.3%. The MCC prepared after acid hydrolysis retained the Type I crystalline structure of cellulose, with a yield of 84.8%, cellulose polymerization degree of 148, and crystallinity index as high as 73.2%, and exhibited good dispersion stability and thermal stability, its absolute value of Zeta potential was close to 25 mV. |
